Maintenance Engineering Technician

Hands-on technician to assist with production troubleshooting and support projects to improve manufacturing and maintenance methods. Assist Manufacturing and Facility Manager to address facility and production needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and maintenance problems and implement high quality solutions
  • Support workflow analysis, work methods, plant and department layouts for improved product flow in production
  • Assist in the development of justifications for the purchase of manufacturing and plant equipment
  • Good knowledge of methods, tools, materials and equipment
  • Must be team oriented, possess a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work with Human Resources Department to ensure required employee training is completed
  • Help manage outside contractors
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Assist with the preventive maintenance program

Qualifications and Skills

  • Associates degree in Maintenance, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Mechanical experience a plus
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and components
  • Worked in a manufacturing environment for minimum of 5 years
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Project Schedule and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act competently in emergencies
  • Organized and detail-oriented
