Quality Technician 2nd Shift

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection activities and documenting the results; gage R&R studies, training, and maintaining records as required
  • Responsible for creating capability studies, FAI, ISIR type documents; customer return evaluations, process and continuous improvement activities
  • Responsible for DCC CMM programming to create and maintain programs for inspector/operator use
  • Train operators in the set-up and use of the available programs to inspect parts
  • Responsible for identifying and ordering measurement and inspection equipment, backup to the calibration Quality Technician, and associated record keeping
  • Performs capability studies and and inspection layouts as needed to support customers, engineering, and quality activities
  • Evaluate capability studies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 years minimum quality inspection experience
  • Must have knowledge of specific measuring and optical equipment; electrical measurements; familiar with computer usage; ISO 9001 Business Management System
  • Familiar with DCC CMM programming, fixturing, and setup
  • GD&T knowledge, blueprint reading, SPC knowledge
  • In-process inspection, final inspection, and receiving inspection experience
  • Computer skills with MS Office, including taking and uploading pictures
  • Familiar with ERP systems
  • Able to do capability studies, FAI, PPAP, ISIR documents and similar documents
  • Electrical and mechanical abilities
  • Able to work overtime on an occasional basis either during the week or weekends
  • Self-motivated, organized, mechanical minded, ability to take direction, manage multiple tasks at once, and good communication skills
